The Word of Faith Movement
I "cut" my spiritual teeth
initially listening to tapes by Hagin, Copeland, T.L. Osborn, Norval Hayes,
Marilyn Hickey, Robert Tilton and a host of other alleged "anointed"
teachers.
In the mid 1980's I was a student of Robert Tilton's
Satellite Bible School and was taught the various doctrines of the WOF movement
by the best known and most well respected WOF teachers. At that point in
time Robert Tilton was on the few mega-churches in America. He had over
8,000 regularly attending members.
Today Mr. Tilton runs his televangelism empire from
somewhere in West Palm Beach FL. He has suffered two divorces and numerous
lawsuits. It is funny to think that he is responsible for helping launch
ministries, such as, Marilyn Hickey and Norval Hayes to prominance. . .yet today
WOF ministries would just as soon forget the debt they owe Mr. Tilton.
The files relating to the WOF movement are not
hearsay, quite the contrary, the come from people who have firsthand knowledge
of these ministers. My wife and I have personally worked with/for Kenneth
Copeland, sung in Benny Hinn's choirs, worked with Charles & Francis Hunter
in a healing campaign, known and worked with Elbert Willis. We also
personally know Joyce Meyer's son David and her sister-in-law. I go into
this little bit of our history to help you understand that we know of what we
write.
